HM Informatik AG is one of the internationally leading system houses that has established itself due to the highest quality development of business crucial software as well as securing the unimpeded operation of complex infrastructures.
This quality not only applies to the modules used but to all processes and tools necessary for the management and the performance of company values.
Because of that HM Informatik AG is using the V-Model as a guideline for all software development company-wide since the 1990s. The validity of this decision shows itself especially in the impressively high customer satisfaction due to a vanishingly low error rate on mission-critical applications.
The same holds true for the services of the company. To effectively measure and control the infrastructure quality and availability HM has established ITIL-compliant processes. As a de-facto-standard the ITIL infrastructure library helps to improve the communication with customers, design service provision measurable and implement service level agreements in a practical way.
Service Support
Early on HM Informatik AG understood the advantages of a standard for IT service management and gradually introduced a company-wide unified reference model for the provision of service level agreements.
This is based on the HM-Service that provides all reliability services and infrastructure maintenance and support.
The service-desk staff serves as central contact and interface between customer users and the HM maintenance team. It receives trouble reports and recreates the problems in the HM testing laboratory. That way errors can be identified and corrected quickly.
V-Model
The V-Model is the standard for all development projects of HM Informatik AG.
It is the guideline for organizing and implementing IT projects and forms the basis of communication between customer and HM Informatik AG.
The V-Model is structured into 4 sub-models:
- PM: Project Management
- QR: Quality Requirement
- SE: Software Development
- CM: Configuration Management
All sub-models are assigned to corresponding departments within HM and thus enable our teams of excellence to act as executive department of all development projects:
- Documents / products and check-lists are handled in a experienced and professional manner
- Distinct and standardized communication
- Measurable and therefore controllable quality requirements in all steps
- Effective and cost-efficient development
